Akènta Day is back: Saturday 13 July, Akènta Sub resurfaces from the sea of Alghero with a unique event

Akènta Day is ready to return: those who want to take part in the spectacular surfacing can apply from Friday 21 June, with Akènta Day Click

The long-awaited Akènta Day 2024 is just around the corner, ready to offer a one-of-a-kind experience. On Saturday 13 July, the Akènta Sub sparkling wine will re-emerge from the depths of the sea in the evocative bay of Alghero, creating an extraordinary event organised by the Santa Maria La Palma winery.

Akènta Day will be a vibrant celebration on the waters of the Coral Riviera. In the morning, a fleet of boats will depart from the port of Alghero, allowing participants to witness the emersion of the underwater winery, with the involvement of a team of divers and a helicopter; all accompanied by toasts and lunch on the boat.

Afterwards, the boats will move to a quiet bay, where guests will be able to enjoy a dip and relax; the afternoon will be enlivened by DJ sets on board each boat, transforming the Akènta Day Emersion Party into a party on the water with many Akènta toasts.

“The Akènta Day is an extraordinary event that we are happy to organise in Alghero to celebrate such a unique moment as the emersion of the underwater cellar, where Akènta Sub, the underwater wine of Sardinia, is refined,” says the winery. “Once again this year we will be hosting people from all over the world, ready to experience a great emotion and celebrate this moment in the beautiful scenery of the Alghero coastline: an event that promotes the territory and tells more and more about Sardinia as a land of special experiences and a great wine island.

The popularity of this event continues to grow, a fact that confirms the value of the initiative also from the tourism point of view.

The 2023 edition saw the participation of over 450 people on the official ‘Akènta Boats’, joined by many others who followed the emersion and cruise from private boats, creating a festive and colourful group.

The appointment is for Saturday, 13 July. For more information on details and bookings, please visit www.akentaday.it.
